Appreciation

On Friday I was given a simple gift of appreciation from a student that really made me think about how many times we forget to appreciate and remember those that do so much for us. Appreciation is given out far less than it should. I think that this cookie was really meant for my mom because to me, she is the best! Words can't say all that she has done for me. She has been a great example to me in my life and helped me in so many ways. As I was driving today I heard this thought on the radio, and felt that it summed up my thoughts.
"God could not be everywhere and therefore he made mothers." ~Jewish Proverb

Sometimes we do miss out on noticing the little things. I'm glad you got a little something to remind you that what you do is valuable!

I LOVE when my students actually so me some of the appreciation I deserve. It kinda makes all the work and teaching worth it. That cookie is AWESOME!
