As for the finger in the last blog...my finger just got bigger and bigger, and sadly I was in to much pain to take a picture. I went in to my doctor and he gave me another shot of cortizone. I shouldn't like such a drug, but within 24 hours my finger was pretty much back to normal and therefore it is definitely on my list of things that I like. My doctor also put me on a medication that suppresses my immune system, so it will stop attacking my joints and tendons. I am on it for at least a year and then we will go from there. So, when I get sick it will last about double what it normally does, but I think it will be better then waking up with more body parts that don't move! The next thing that happened was my ladybugs came! Yeah for happiness! My class was watching the life cycle of ladybugs, and we were able to put them in our ladybug land. They have been eating a lot and we are excited to see them change into a pupa. Before I started teaching I didn't know that the ladybugs had a life cycle similar to butterflies. I thought they just hatched as little ladybugs. Boy was I surprised! They actually start out as little yellow jelly bean like eggs. Then they turn into a larva about the size of a pin head. Then the eat and eat and eat until they get really big. Then they turn into a pupa and stay there for several days. When they come out they actually don't have spots and are pale. Within 24 hours they are red and have their spots.

They are fascinating creatures and we loved watching them turn into ladybugs.
I also made a quilt square...that was really fun!
To end this blog, I could add more but I don't want to have you reading a novel, so I will end with some pictures of a great hike that I went on.
Bless you for not giving up on me!

Amazing about ladybugs! I had no idea about their life cycle! I'm glad your body is finally doing better--can't imagine just having joints freeze up and be in pain one morning. Thanks for posting the update! :)
Wow! You are quite the photographer. It looks like you went on an amazing hike!
If a picture says a thousand words, you my friend said a mouthful!
Great pics! Good luck with your health. Isn't it nuts that we're starting to be old enough to have things go wrong! When did that happen!
