Well...

I realize that I have been missing for some time, and rather than go into all the long details, I am just going to briefly tell you what has gone on so that I can be caught up and start fresh. Good thing we can start over. I do want you to know that while I haven't been posting, I have been reading your blogs!
My last post was in May right before school got out. I taught summer school and then the day that I got done I went home and my dad and I left for Wyoming to see my grandma and grandpa. It was a great time since I was able to see some other family members who I hadn't seen in a really long time.

This was the tree stump that after a lot of work finally left my grandpa's yard.

I got to play lawn darts with my grandpa!

I had a great time, but sadly our trip ended short. I then spent the rest of the summer helping my mom. She was in the hospital most of the summer. She is doing much better now, and I'm glad that I was there to help. I came back just in time for a family reunion at my other grandparents house and then for school to start. Oh, and to go on a hike.

School has been going well, and I have a great class this year. I have also been spending a lot more time on my school class website, so that has been a lot of fun. The last thing that I will end with is the one thing I wanted to share for a while. In March, I bought a house! It has been really fun and I have enjoyed thinking of ways to make it a home. Here are just a few pictures and I will hopefully be sharing more. Of course I had to buy a piano too!

I feel that I have learned a lot about myself and others the last little while, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make changes in my life. I'm grateful for learning experiences and new opportunities that help me to become a little better each day.

Family Fun

Went to the Hinckley Center. It is really remarkable the things that are there.

Clock tower at the Hinckley Center

Went to a Dinosaur Museum. Taking little kids with you makes it so much fun!

Fireworks for the 4th.

Bracelet I made at the Family Reunion.

I was able to spend some time with my extended family and my family this summer. It is so nice to have family! Sorry that there isn't more and not a lot of pictures, but I must get off to bed.

Did you know?

(As promised, here is another blog...Shocking I know!)

Did you know that I am a professional painter? I didn't think you did! Ok, so maybe not professional, but I must say that I think I did a pretty great job! This summer I went to visit my family and one of the projects that I did was paint a room at their house. This was my second room to paint there, and I must say that it was much easier the 2nd time. Here are a few shots of the super fun summer project!

Just plain old white walls

Starting to apply the new yellow

Some tools I used

A little to short sometimes!

Finally finished.

Isn't it lovely?

Amazing! I know...
Maybe I should change professions?

Up, Up, and AWAY!!!

I have been racking my brain for the last several weeks to think of how to post my unadventurous weeks and my many, many thoughts and feelings. However...no matter how hard I tried I couldn't come up with anything. However today I had an adventure and finally have something to share. This morning at 6AM a bunch of us met up and walked to where they were launching several hot air balloons. I had always heard about it, but never had been. Too bad I hadn't gone...it was amazing! As I am not all that eloquent with expressing my thoughts and feelings, I will just let you share in my experience with these photos.

Yeah for happiness!

Adventures- Part 2

The past few days I have been on some more summer adventure. On Tuesday I went to Timpanogos Cave. It is a beautiful hike about 6,000 feet up to the cave. The cave inside is incredible. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful world! On Wednesday I was able to go to Lagoon with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I probably haven't been to Lagoon in about 11 years or so, and it has definitely changed. I didn't know that rides such as: Wicked, The Spider, The Rocket, The Bat, The Cliffhanger, and others even existed....I DO NOW!!! Instead of telling you more of my adventure in detail, just enjoy the photos!
